Our very own Heidi McIvor-Allen has been selected to participate in the 2019 Man & Women of the Year (10-week challenge) to help raise funds for the Atlanta Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for Blood Cancer Research. Competition kicked-off on Thursday, March 28, 2019, and she needs our help!
There are many ways to participate in this local Man & Woman of the Year campaign. If you are driven to find cures for blood cancer like Heidi is, we’d love for you to join her team: https://registration.mwoy.org/team-selected/622564.
If you can’t commit to joining her team but are interested in discussing ways to get involved via a sponsorship, buying tickets to the Gala in June or helping make a connection with a family/friend/organization that would like to get involved, please email Heidi at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to donate directly to her team reach their fundraising goals ($250,000) – you can do so through this link below.
Fundraising Competition Dates (10-Weeks): March 28-June 9, 2019.
Here are more details about LLS & MWOY:
What is LLS?
LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency. LLS invests in blood cancer research (over $1 billion since1949), providing support services to families at no cost, and advocating nationally and locally for legislation that will improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Blood cancer affects all ages and unfortunately, that includes children and young adults.
Grand Finale Celebration on June 9th (you can get tickets to attend): The grand finale celebration brings together sponsors, candidates, campaign team members, friends, family, survivors, and other LLS supports for the announcement of the Man and Women of the Year. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, music and auctions.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society presents Man & Woman of the Year
Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.
The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community. The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the Year.
At Local Marketing, Inc we know it’s important for our team to get involved in the community and look forward to supporting Heidi on this 10-week fundraising journey. Thank you for supporting this great cause. If you want to brainstorm creative ways to help Heidi and her team fundraise? We are here to help! Giving back does pay and can really help you connect with customers that have a connection to Cancer and they want to support you in finding a cure.
